Notice of the 3rd Meeting of the 5th Standing Council of The World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (video-conference)
Distinguished Permanent Council Members:
In accordance with the provisions of the Charter of The World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic, the World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (WAAMA) is scheduled to hold its 3rd Meeting of the 5th Standing Council meeting in April 2021. In view of the current serious COVID-19 epidemic, the meeting will be held in the form of video-conference. Information of the meeting is as follows:
I. Meeting Time and Software
Time: April 16, 2021 Beijing time (GMT +8) 08:30-11:30
Conference software: Zoom meeting, meeting number:849 7588 7244; Password:2021. You can use the Zoom to attend the meeting on the computer or mobile phone (it is recommended to use the computer to attend the meeting and ensure that the network is smooth).
Equipment test time: April 14 Beijing time (GMT +8) 08:30-09:30. Test meeting number is:818 7376 4676; password: 2021. Please take part in or send someone to participate in the test to ensure that the equipment functions smoothly.
II. Meeting Topics
(1) The permanent council members shall introduce the work of the organization in 2020 and the work outlook for 2021, their experiences and make suggestions to the WAAMA. (Speaking order: Member Lisa Wang, member Nip Tin Sing, Vice President Hsiao, Chiu-Yung, Vice President Chong Tai Kaw, member Wong Hoon Wan, Vice President Hwang Ho Joong, Member Loani Tahitu'a, Vice President Sally Chou, each memeber presents for 10 minutes)
(2) Presentation by the Secretariat of the new version of the WAAMA Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Certificate by Ms. Zhongying Jin, Member of Australia Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Inc..
(3) Consideration of the issue of the application of the Russian Abacus Maths of Mental arithmetic-AMMA for membership.
(4) Study the holding of the 3rd Meeting of the 5th Council and the 8th WAAMA Competition in Korea in 2021.
(5) Speech by President Liu Jianhua of WAAMA.
