I once thought that changing the teaching method was meaningless. The effect of a new method cannot be seen in a short time. However, I still persist in trying new teaching methods because I am unwilling to compromise with low-level teaching. I think we should explore ways to give full play to students’ abilities more effectively. In fact, this is brought about by the diversity of students. After a period of thinking, I tried a variety of teaching methods, and gained many ideas after hard work. These experiences are especially precious to me. They have also helped me discover that I can effectively shorten the learning time according to my own characteristics. I have also experienced the fun of challenging new things. These practices have been transformed into precious experience, which helped me deal with various scenarios calmly. I think that the methods of abacus education should be constantly changing. It’s because that students are not changeless.

It is meaningless to simply imitate those operating methods with excellent educational concepts. The important thing is to try your best to subdivide, digest and transform them into your own things. What is needed here is to build a better education concept based on the accumulated experience of everyone.

In the future, how to deal with diverse scenarios will still be one of the important questions for discussion. The competition recently held online ignited the enthusiasm of the students. Also, the lectures held online last year fully reflected the passion of the presenter, the hard work of the organizer, and the enthusiasm of the participating teachers. The degree of excitement of the online lectures is no less than that of the on-site ones.

During the diversified development, I think the love for abacus is one of the important values that we need to pass on. I also hope that teachers can maintain the attitude of continuously exploring new values and be proud of it.

I believe that in the process of exploring values that never vanish, when the meaning we believe in, the innovative thinking, and effective actions reach harmony, these will become a solid foundation for us to continuously obtain best practices.

We should think and act with the goal of enhancing the meaning of abacus education. Of course, we cannot ignore the potential obstacles brought about by the definition of past success. For better development in the future, we should closely focus on the basic ideas, adhere to the attitude of continuous development and progress, and respond to the ever-changing and diverse environment while not distorting the basic ideas.

Undoubtedly, in the above-mentioned practices, abacus education is an important cause worthy of wholehearted devotion.
