The League for Soroban Education of Japan. Inc. Sends a Comfort Letter to WAAMA Regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic

First of all, thank you very much for your continuous support to WAAMA’s causes.

We would like to extend sincere condolences to the leaders of your Association regarding the COVID-19 pandemic spreading in your country.

The spread of COVID-19 had a great impact on your Association’s popularization activities of abacus and mental arithmetic. As the abacus education group in your neighboring country, relevant personnel including Chairman Hiroshi Hirayama and Hirakami Kazutaka, Vice President of WAAMA and Former President of the League for Soroban Education of Japan, feel very sad about this.

Now, Japan also reports confirmed cases in various regions, bringing great uncertainty to people’s daily life and the economy. In the face of this challenge, our League works with your Association to fight against the virus, and continues to promote the development of the abacus cause while ensuring adequate protection.

We sincerely wish that your country win the fight against COVID-19 at an early date, and the activities of WAAMA resume as soon as possible.

Finally, wish all leaders of your Association and branches led by Chairwoman Liu Jianhua safe and healthy.

Our League hereby extends deep sympathy in this letter.

Secretariat of the World association of abacus and Mental Arithmetic.

Good afternoon everyone.

Wishing you and your families are in perfect health, we send you a very fraternal hug from the Mexican Abacus Association in Mexico.

It is a time to be united, regarding the competition that would take place in Seoul, it is a good decision to postpone it, hopefully we can celebrate it in 2021, the most important thing is the safety and tranquility of all those persons who will attend.

Please take good care of yourself and your families so we can get out of this pandemic as soon as possible.

Our solidarity to all the members of the World Abacus Association of Mental Arithmetic, it is certain that every one of you are going through different and delicate situations in your respective country, much encouragement for each of you.

We reiterate our offer of help in case someone needs it.
