First of all, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (WAAMA) for giving us the valuable opportunity to participate in the 9th Competition of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic of WAAMA, enabling the Malaysian team to stand on an international stage and compete and exchange with outstanding abacus and mental arithmetic contestants from around the world. This was not only a high-level international event, but also a precious experience that broadened our international horizons, enhanced our professional capabilities, and promoted cultural exchange.
As coaches and team leaders of the Malaysian team, we deeply felt the professionalism and international standards of this competition. From learning about the question types and competition rules of each group before the event, we knew this would be an extremely challenging competition. In preparation for this event, our students underwent long periods of training and preparation, practising repeatedly and constantly adjusting their mindset, all in order to perform at their best on the day of the competition. Behind every result lies the hard work of the students, the support of their parents, and the meticulous guidance of their teachers.
Upon arriving at the competition venue, we were even more astonished. Abacus and mental arithmetic contestants from around the world demonstrated extraordinary strength, displaying extremely high competitive levels in calculation speed, concentration, and performance under pressure. In such a fiercely competitive international arena, every contestant was able to remain calm and give their all, fully demonstrating the solid foundational skills and excellent psychological qualities of abacus and mental arithmetic learners, which also greatly benefited our coaches and students.
What excited the students most was being able to see in person the abacus and mental arithmetic masters they had previously only known through television programs such as Super Brain and Challenge Impossible, and to have the opportunity to exchange and take photos with outstanding contestants and coaches from different countries and regions. These precious experiences not only broadened the students' horizons, but also gave them a profound sense of the vigorous vitality of global abacus and mental arithmetic development, and strengthened their belief in continuing to learn abacus and mental arithmetic and constantly challenging themselves.
The organization of the entire competition was equally impressive. From registration, competition procedures, paper collection, paper sealing, paper marking, and score verification to the final award presentation, every stage was arranged in an orderly manner. The staff were conscientious, meticulous, and rigorous. Even when facing participating teams from different countries and regions, they were still able to patiently answer questions and provide timely assistance, making the entire competition run very smoothly. In particular, in the stages of paper collection, paper marking, scoring, and score verification, everything was carried out strictly in accordance with regulations, and a score review mechanism was in place, fully reflecting the competition principles of fairness, justice, and openness, allowing every contestant to complete the competition with peace of mind and confidence, and giving us a deep appreciation of WAAMA's commitment to competition quality.
What was particularly gratifying was that contestants from the Bina Jaya Ventures Sdn. Bhd. (WN Academy), Malaysia team were able to withstand the pressure in such a high-level international competition, break through their usual training performance, and successfully achieve outstanding results. Among them, Fu Junjie won the Grand Prize (Champion) in Marathon Calculation (Group 2) and the Grand Prize (Champion) in Flash Calculation (Group 2), and also received the First Prize in the Group B Individual All-Round Contest; Chen Yixi won the Grand Prize (Champion) in the Group B Individual All-Round Contest, and also received the First Prize in Marathon Calculation (Group 2) and the First Prize in Flash Calculation (Group 2). Standing out among so many outstanding international contestants, these honours were hard-won and fully demonstrated the achievements of abacus and mental arithmetic education at Bina Jaya Ventures Sdn. Bhd. (WN Academy), Malaysia.

However, more precious than the awards is the growth of the children. After the competition ended, what they gained was not only medals, but also international horizons, self-confidence, and the spirit of daring to challenge themselves. They learned to remain calm under high pressure, to appreciate the strengths of outstanding contestants from around the world, and to have a clearer direction for their future efforts. We believe that this WAAMA journey will become one of the most precious and unforgettable memories on their path of learning abacus and mental arithmetic, and will inspire them to constantly challenge themselves and pursue excellence.
We sincerely thank WAAMA for building such a high-standard international exchange platform, enabling abacus and mental arithmetic enthusiasts from around the world to learn from each other and compete with one another, jointly promoting the development of abacus and mental arithmetic education, while also enabling Zhusuan, the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, to transcend national borders and continue to be inherited, innovated, and promoted.
In the future, WN Academy will continue to actively cooperate with WAAMA in all its work, continue to promote abacus and mental arithmetic education, and remain committed to inheriting Zhusuan, this precious intangible cultural heritage of humanity. We hope to enable more children from different regions and ethnic groups in Malaysia to engage with abacus and mental arithmetic, to know it, and to experience its positive impact on concentration, thinking ability, memory, and comprehensive quality development, so that abacus and mental arithmetic education can continue to take root and bear fruit in Malaysia.
We have always believed that Zhusuan is not only a calculation skill, but also a bridge connecting abacus and mental arithmetic learners around the world. In the future, we look forward to working hand in hand with abacus and mental arithmetic colleagues around the world under the leadership of WAAMA to jointly promote abacus culture, cultivate more outstanding abacus and mental arithmetic talent, pass on Zhusuan, the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, from generation to generation, and enable more of the younger generation to know the abacus, learn the abacus, and love the abacus.
Finally, once again, we sincerely thank WAAMA for giving us this valuable opportunity. We look forward to continuing to participate in more international competitions in the future, to reunite and exchange with abacus and mental arithmetic colleagues from around the world, and to contribute more to the development of abacus and mental arithmetic and the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
