On September 11, 2025, the World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (WAAMA) convened its Fourth Meeting of the Sixth Standing Council, during which the admission of the "Mental Sports Calculating Federation of Georgia" as a Council Member of WAAMA was reviewed and approved.

Recently, due to the aforementioned organization's name change to "Competitive Mental Calculation Federation of Georgia," it submitted a name change application to WAAMA on October 28, 2025.

After due consideration, the name change application has been approved, pending formal confirmation at the next Standing Council meeting.
