SEMPOA SIP was established on August 1, 1998 in Karawaci, Tangerang by Alexander K. Taslim with the initial name Sempoa Indonesia Pratama. In Indonesia, we called Abacus as SEMPOA.

Because SIP is a progressive company, SIP is very concerned about the trends and changes that occur in the Indonesian Education Market. From 2006 to 2007 there was a change in the market  with the signification of the growth of the middle class in Indonesia  and  to anticipate it, the SIP Course which had been held in a simple way began at the UpGrade to become a Professional course. And to bring Brand closer to the community, the name SEMPOA INDONESIA PRATAMA (SIP) was changed to SEMPOA SIP.

This change showed significant results, with the rapid growth of SIP SEMPOA Centers which in 2007 there were only 35 centers (in Jakarta alone), in 2013 being 85 Centers. And there are hundreds of SEMPOA SIP centers spread across all cities in Indonesia, starting from the western part of Indonesia, Banda Aceh to the eastern part in Sorong, Papua. Starting from the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan and Papua. SIP Abacus even developed on small islands such as Nias.Mentawai, Natuna and Dabo Singkep. Besides that, SEMPOA SIP also expanded its business to Australia and Singapore.

Every year, SEMPOA SIP always holds SEMPOA SIP Best Of The Best National Competition which is participated by all SIP Abacus students throughout Indonesia. And this Best Of The Best National Competition is one of our 8 quality stars possessed by Sempoa SIP and is also a SEMPOA SIP’s teaching curriculum.

In this 2019, the Indonesian Sempoa SIP Best Of The Best National Competition was held in Central Java in the city of Semarang. Our big competition is always awaited by all SEMPOA SIP Indonesia students. Evidenced by the enrollment of 1000 participants in this competition and attended by 2000 parents, making the atmosphere inside the building was so vibrant, full of anthusiasm and pride. All of our participants and parents were so happy for joining our Big Competiton. It was not easy to be our National Competition’s participants. They had to fulfill our qualification standards to be part of this our Big Competition.

Not only that, on this great occasion, we also invited our graduates to attend our Graduation together. They have completed every level in the SEMPOA SIP for approximately 4 years. It is very proud to see them able to complete 5 levels in SEMPOA SIP very well.

We also performed some of performances by our students from several Regions in Indonesia. In their appearance, they showed their action in playing with the abacus. This performance was shown by children aged 4 years to 12 years and the results were extraordinary, they dared to appear in front of a thousand audiences.

And it's time to announce the winners at each level contested in this competition. All participants prepared to get on stage when their names were called. Their extraordinary enthusiasm is not comparable to all the prizes provided by the committee. They are all winners. They have successfully conquered their fear by courageously taking part in this competition mastered the appearance material very well and made the audience amazed at their appearance.
