The Hong Kong Mental Math Academy, Hong Kong SAR, China (Hereinafter referred to as HKMMA) was established in 2011. The founder, Mr. Siu Wing Man, has obtained the Grade 1 qualification of the International Assessment of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic at the age of 9. He firmly believes that abacus and mental arithmetic education has an intellectual effect and is of great help in absorbing financial and scientific knowledge. HKMMA’s learners include both kids and adults. HKMMA is a training institution that makes good use of educational technology to enhance teacher-student communication. In June 2024, HKMMA became a TechEd Partner of the Hong Kong Productivity Council. HKKMA is recognized by Hong Kong official organizations to jointly promote STEM education in Hong Kong.

Our Vision & Mission:

(1) Conduct various abacus and mental arithmetic appraisals in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of The World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic.

(2) Committed to enhancing the level of mathematics in Hong Kong, improving the quality of the mental math training industry to the international level, and setting high quality standards for the industry.

(3) Provide high-quality mental math teaching facilities and environment for kids to adults, and issue certificates with official validity for learners.

(4) Carry out the excavation, research, protection and inheritance of abacus, the intangible cultural heritage of mankind so as to promote Chinese abacus and mental arithmetic education.

(5) Organize and participate in the World Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition and other abacus and mental arithmetic competitions in order to promote and popularize abacus and mental arithmetic education.

(6) Organize other activities that are conducive to the development of abacus and mental arithmetic education and training.
